Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary

The Virtues, Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit and Blogging?
In some parts of cyber space Blogging and virtue are so opposite as to be from different galaxies! But of course temptation comes from all places and Catholic bloggers, not only are no exception, but have been falling to temptation left and right. In fact as my friend Ester points out, our sin is then out there for public viewing. DH would remind us all that we are 'practicing' Catholics--- not saints yet. And of course there are those who will not start down a path of faith because they know where and how often they'll fail. Who wants them to think they are alone in their failures? But we are supposed to be journeying toward Heaven together and that means making God's will our own.
So Diane K will be discussing these in light of the catechism and some intelligent priest she goes to for Spiritual direction at Virtuous Catholic Blogging. you may know her from her main blog Te Deum laudamus.
I'll be spending more time there as I think about this and offer my Novena for all of you.

But....

Can you live without your computer for a day?

It is obvious that without computers we would find our life extremely difficult, maybe even impossible. If they disappeared for just one day, would we be able to cope? Be part of one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the Internet. The idea behind Shutdown Day is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate! Shutdown your computer on 03 May 2008 and find out!

I have no idea but I will try. Only because it is also First Communion Day!

I hadn't heard about this. I'll think about it.
