Day 1 Praying for our Husbands

Let us Pray:
1. That he might become a holy man, a man of prayer, mature in the Lord, growing in his knowledge of the Lord.

1 Thess.5:23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Col. 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of yourselves, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always remembering you earnestly in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.
Eph.1:18-19 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe, according to the working of his great might
Eph. 3:16-19 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with might through his Spirit in the inner man, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph. 6:18 Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Amen.

How fitting that this retreat began on a Wednesday--our parish has its weekly devotion to St. Joseph every Wednesday, and I always use that time to pray for my husband's intentions.

Thank you for sharing this retreat.

You're welcome! Its also the feast of St Therese the Little Flower, whom I love! More importantly its the birthday of my husbands favorite great aunt, Josephine Zoe (Brazeau) LaPlante. She is the one who prayed my husband into faith and the church. She passed away without knowing my little Zoe but is my special saint to speak to about my family's needs.
